Colorado Film Office Announces Screenplay Mentoring Program
The Colorado Office of Film, Television & Media, a division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade, announces a new program that allows Colorado screenwriters to receive feedback on finished scripts, free of charge.
Colorado residents are invited to visit the online form where they can submit screenplays that will be assigned to one of seven reviewers who will provide a written critique and up to a 15 minute question and answer session. The reviewers are from the University of Colorado, Colorado Film School, BlueCat Screenplay Competition, University of Colorado Boulder, Lighthouse Writers Workshop, and the University of Denver.
The program will accept 50 screenplays per quarter, totaling 200 between July 1, 2014 and June 30, 2015. The first submission period is open July 1–August 15. Screenplays will not be accepted if the quarterly quota of 50 has been reached; in that case, applicants are welcome to submit again throughout the year. Only one screenplay per household will be accepted.
